UPMC profit plunges more than $600 million - Bizjournals - 08/22/2008 14:08
The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center became a $7 billion enterprise during the fiscal year that ended June 30, but excess revenue after expenses, or profit, at the health care and insurance giant plunged to just $5 million from $612 million from the same period in 2007, according to unaudited financials that were released Friday.
